With love and passion our family has been managing this business for over 200 years, preserving and embodying a part of Ischian life, culture and tradition.
Our business has experienced two fundamental evolutionary phases, the first occurred in the post-war period when Nonno Nicola, after deciding not to continue his military career, transformed the old family shop which until then sold fruit, legumes, oil and wine. bulk in a modern shop basing the sale on packaged and international products enjoying great success on the island given the enormous tourist increase of those times.
In 2000, due to the enormous competition due to large distributions, a new evolution was necessary, Alessandro and his sister Eleonora transformed the old family business into a small treasure chest of memories, scents, flavors and local traditions, making it an unmissable destination for many tourists coming Worldwide. The new "Serpico typical products of Ischia" shop procures products from small local companies which, thanks to the volcanic soil with the unique properties of our beautiful island, produce quality raw materials, with a unique and genuine flavor and aroma.
Over the years our business has been able to boast clients of the caliber of: Aristotele Onassis, Jaqueline Kennedy, Rè Ludwig 1 of Bavaria, Elisabet Taylor, Richard Burton, Sir William Walton, Alberto Maravia, Pablo Neruda, Pablo Picasso, Pierpaolo Pasolini, Luchino Visconti, Charlie Chalin, Alain Delon, W.
